With rising mental health challenges, and symptoms of trauma throughout society and in the church, Trauma Informed Churches is hosting a conference to professionally equip, resource and support the wider church to work with the broken hearted and see every generation healed and released from the significant impact of trauma.


We will be hearing from a leading trauma expert & church leader who has decades of experience in both clinical and charismatic ministerial applications.

Meet the Founder - Betsy de Thierry MBE

Trauma Informed Churches was founded by Betsy de Thierry MBE in 2018. Betsy has authored 9 books on Trauma Recovery and trained, consulted and worked with over 40,000 individuals across 34 nations to bring both a message of hope and expertise in simple, collective and complex-traumas.

  • Sound Church Auditorium,Freedom House, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, BA2 1EP.
    We have car parking on site with only a limited amount of spaces (50). In the first instance, please contact us if you need a disabled parking space, or if you have accessibility needs and require a parking space.

    After this, we will offer our remaining spaces on a first come first served basis to delegates. We recommend car sharing or making use of public transport if you can.

  • There is on street (unrestricted) parking in the residential streets through the railway bridge opposite to the venue (email to request a map). Newbridge Park & Ride for Bath (located at BA1 3NB). It is a 25 minute walk from the car park to the venue.

    Please note, there is a large retail car park directly next to the venue but it only offers a 1.5 hour stay limit (camera monitored). Parking for longer than the specified time will result in a parking ticket.

  • Drinks will be available in the venue cafe, and there are a number of eating facilities surrounding Freedom House with spaces to purchase lunch. Including an M&S Food Hall, Lidl, Costa, a bakery, a McColls and McDonalds, all within a 5 minute walking distance.
